While others played gigs on buses.

But the last bus we were on was the one back to the airport and home.

The Dreaming Festival. Part 1

The Tableland Drifters were invited to play at The Dreaming Festival during Woodford folk Festival 2011/12.

They band had chosen to fly out of Darwin when the train crossing and bridge collapsed due to heavy rain.
Two nights were spent in Catherine.

The Band was forced to spend many hours on the side of the road waiting for it to open.

Three days after the initial leaving day we were on our way. Above is some of the damage caused by the derailment.

We all arrived on the day that The Tableland Drifters were to play. December 30th 2011.

The accommodation.

The Dreaming welcomes The Tableland Drifters. Our tents featured a comfortable cot, sleeping bags and a light as well as a shared camp kitchen.

The Tableland Drifters gig was on at the same time as headlining act Xavier Rudd but that didn't stop them from pulling in a good crowd inspiring many to get up and dance.
